Past Life Soul Contracts - Break The Karmic Cycle

After experiencing countless of my own past lives and facilitating many of my clients' regressions. It has been revealed to me that we reincarnate with the same souls in multiple different lifetimes through our “soul contracts.”

Before you incarnate into a new lifetime, you choose the souls you would like to experience life with in order to learn the lessons you have chosen to evolve. You both agree to essentially play a “role” in each other's lives to facilitate this growth through a positive connection or a negative connection. 

Yes believe it or not, you still chose the souls that you wish to help catalyze you through negative or painful experiences too. 

Learning to view all of your relationships in this way can help you to understand yourself at a deeper level and to transform even the most challenging relationships in your life. 

The 2 Types of Contracts 

These soul contracts tend to be agreed with souls you have previously incarnated with or are part of your soul group or family. 

There is usually a mutual learning, healing or karmic clearing that takes place for both of you during this agreement. 

These past life contracts can show up within many different connections in your current life - from partners, friends, parents, colleagues, or bosses. 

Some may be lifelong connections and some only fleeting, as they may end as soon as the lesson was learned or the karma cleared. 

Often if those things aren’t resolved you will repeat a similar dynamic or pattern with another person in your life until you integrate what that relationship is here to teach you about yourself. 

You can usually tell the past life contracts due to the intense energy between you both, and the 2 main soul contracts that tend to show up can be a positive energy or a negative energy connection. 

1. Positive Soul Contracts

These are the people that are here to support your growth and empower you. 

They typically come in the form of friendships, soulmates and family members. 

These contracts are here to help you grow through unconditional love, compassion, connection and understanding. 

They can act as a mirror to show you how powerful you are and usually have a fundamental part in reaching your fullest potential. 

I do want to preface that even these more positive soul contracts can come with their challenges, but the difference is the way you are both able to navigate those and come back to a place of healing and mutual respect for each other. 

In fact one of my biggest teachers has been one of my closest friends who I share a past life soul contract with. We have agreed to empower each other but in order to do that we also agreed to be a mirror for each other's wounds and shadows. So we experienced both love and pain and suffering at the hands of each other over the years, but both came out the other side with a stronger and unbreakable bond and a relationship that has stood the test of time. 

2. Negative Soul Contracts

Now this type of soul contract is usually a karmic connection. 

These relationships can be intense, magnetic and explosive. You are usually drawn to each other repeating an old pattern, unresolved trauma or karmic debts from a past life. 

This type of contract was agreed to be as potent in order for you to heal any wounding carried over or to complete a karmic cycle. 

These more disempowering or challenging contracts can also come into your life if any vows, promises or oaths were made in a previous lifetime, but no longer serve you in this life. So it’s important to recognise them in order to clear the contract or learn the soul lesson. 

Some examples of these are romantic relationships, toxic friendships, or difficult work relationships.

These contracts can bring up themes of powerlessness, self worth, disrespect, anger, guilt, shame, abuse, or conflict.  

How To Break A Soul Contract

In order to break and heal a past life contract you have to first become aware of them. 

So ask yourself:

What relationships in your life empower you and what disempower you?

What relationships drain your energy and which ones uplift your spirit? 

Which relationships trigger you and what do they trigger in you? 

What emotions, or beliefs do each of these types of relationships bring up in you? 

What types of behaviours do each bring up in you? 

Once you have identified some of the wounds and shadows that may be showing up in these relationships, it’s now time to look at what these relationships could be helping you to learn or what you need to heal.

Where are they showing you the places that you aren’t loving yourself? Where you don’t feel worthy? Where you aren’t able to speak your authentic truth? 

All of our soul contracts, positive or painful, are here to teach you something so you can live to your fullest potential and evolve as an eternal soul.
